Common Curriculum Framework
The Common Curriculum Framework for English Language Arts, Kindergarten to Grade 12 (1998)
The Common Curriculum Framework for English Language Arts, Kindergarten to Grade 12, was developed by the ministries of Education in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories, and the Yukon Territory, in cooperation with teachers and other educators from these provinces and territories. Reaction panels composed of teachers, administrators, parents, post-secondary educators, business representatives, and members of community organizations made important contributions.
Clear student learning outcomes and high learning standards in the ELA Curriculum Framework are designed to prepare students for present and future language requirements.
